This is going to be my next single. I've worked on this track on and off for the better part of eight months. I've really tried to push the boundaries of my production techniques on this track. After listening to "I'm Only Sleeping" and "Tomorrow Never Knows" off of The Beatles' masterpiece album "Revolver" for all of my life, I was fascinated by the reverse lead guitar in those songs, and I wanted to emulate that trippy tone in one of my own songs. I had failed several times before, because after reversing the track, the solo did not match up well with the chords I was playing, since the chord progression/scales I was soloing within were reversed on the track as well. I had laid down a somewhat haphazard guitar solo intro to this song, which I was not particularly happy with, but after reversing it, I found that style of playing that I'd been trying to come up with for years. This song was inspired by the drinking dreams that recovering alcoholics can have that leave them shaking in the morning, convinced they've been lying to themselves and others (years after they have their last drink).more
